Automatic Geometry Generation

The purpose of this selection is to generate the geometry from the sweep tool from the information saved at the input features. In order to do so, you have to:

• Select the Automatic Feature Type, which you want to generate a sweep from. The list available in the UI is found from the selected Input Features types.

• Sweep will then check the Input Features towards Automatic Feature Type and only generate a sweep for that feature type selected. Furthermore, all sub-selections of attribute types, as listed below

  • Automatic Shape

  • Automatic Reference Location

  • Automatic Width

  • Automatic Outer Height/Diameter

  • Automatic Inner Height/Diameter

  • Automatic Thickness

will be possible attribute types stored at that selected feature type. If these selected attribute types have an instance at the Input Features, they will be used as parameters for the sweep generation.

There are some additional checkboxes, which are used for controlling the computation behavior. These are:

• Determine wall thickness (inner/outer) from Material Type

• Use Thickness = Outer - Inner

• Copy input feature and store the result in the copy

Note: If no parameters are set, then the UI Ribbon is enabled and its Ribbon input is active in the calculations. Disabled ribbons indicate that the Ribbon values are overruled by UI settings in this dialogue.
