Cannot Reserve a Task
Trying to reserve a WS task, but reservation does not go through
Look in the "Progress" window, there should be lines stating which objectID or netelementID is giving problems here.
ObjectID
Write down one such objectID. Then right click on the cloud symbol of the project in the "Explorer" window and select "Go to ObjectID". Enter the objectId you found and close this window. In the "Properties" window, you will see which task this object belongs to. Try to reserve that task first, then again the WS task you want to reserve.
NetelementID
Be sure that you are showing netelements in the process tree. If you do not see them, press the cogwheel in the upper right corner of the process window and select "Show netelements". Then select the netelement with the ID you found in the Progress Window. See which task it belongs to and reserve this before reserving the task you are really looking to reserve.
While reserving a task, you get the error message:
Something went wrong
<Date and time>
Terminating "Reserve" due to a detected fatal discrepancy...
If you have no pending changes, the quickest fix will often be to disconnect the workset and download a new. If that doesn't help, there is an error in the model on the server and you can try the following:
If you look in the process window, you will most likely see a message there telling which object or netelement is the problem.
To fix this on the server, Trimble Support will need you to do the following:
First, be sure that you are showing "Internal values" in the Properties window: click the cogwheel on top of the Properties window and check "Internal values".
Then find and report the below information.
Which server the model is on. "Quadri" is not a server name! If you don't know the server name, go to Model Manager and you will see it on the first page. Or click the cloud symbol in the Explorer window and click "Details" in the Properties window. Send the "Host name..." and the "OrganizationID".
The name of the model and project.
The netelement id or object id/object type. Click the line in the process window and find the number and type of the netelement id or object in the Properties window. These are the values "Object ID" and "Object type ID" under "Internal values" in the Properties window and both are numbers.
The task number owning that netelement or object. To find this, select the netelement (by double clicking the error line in the process window) or the object (by right clicking the cloud symbol of the workset in the Quadri Explorer window and selecting "Select object ID").
Look in properties for the parent task. Then select that task (by clicking the 3 dots in the right part of the field in Properties showing the parent task) to find the ID of that task.
By doing this and sending that information, Trimble Support can fix the problem without having to download the project.
After Trimble Support has fixed the problem, you need to download a new workset to be able to reserve this task.
