Bad allocation

This is a general message about the program having memory troubles. It does not say anything about why. Some reasons can be:

• Some times simply restarting Quadri helps.

In older client/server versions, we had some issues with "Bad allocation" because of parentheses in the model name. We think those are fixed, but if you get a "Bad allocation" now, please check the text below and report it to Trimble Support as well!

• Unfortunately it is possible to create models and projects with parentheses in the name, but it could give trouble later on in some server operations. Don't use parentheses in model or project names. If you already have a workset with work you can't share, change the directory names of the workset so they don't contain parentheses. Then open the model with "Open single user model".
